Further support for SEND students
Bolton Local Authority SEND Updates – Advice, Guidance and Support for Parents and Carers
This week we have some updates regarding our SEND students. Bolton local authority is providing additional support for SEND students with a general advice, guidance and support line for parents and carers.
There is a different contact number for each session and these are likely to change every 2 weeks. For the weeks beginning 20.04.20 and 27.04.20 the helpline is available at the following times on the following numbers:

Additional support and guidance for the Government has been released, with some suggested apps specifically aimed to support SEND students with online learning.

Description: a visual instruction app, including flash cards and picture-choosing games, for children with autism and special needs.
HelpKidzLearn

Description: a collection of games and resources designed for a range of educational needs and stages. It includes provision for school closure.
Sensory App House Ltd

Description: a range of apps are available for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). All are interactive and many do not require significant coordination abilities.
Visuals2Go

Description: an all-in-one app created to support people with communication and learning difficulties. For verbal and non-verbal learners.
