Transition
A very warm welcome to students who have been allocated a place at Kearsley Academy for the 2025 academic year!
We understand that making the transition from primary to secondary education can seem a daunting prospect for many young people. At Kearsley Academy we will support students through every step of the process.
Our students are the most important people at Kearsley Academy and they deserve to leave school with the best grades possible. We were incredibly proud that 72% of students achieved the Government pass standard in both English and Maths in the academic year 2023- 2024. These are the academy’s best-ever results! The percentage of students who achieved a grade 5 or higher in English and Maths was 10% higher than both the Bolton and national average for 2024.
Over the coming months, we will begin to work closely with primary schools to ensure we have all the information required for a smooth transition into secondary school. This will involve ensuring all of our prospective students have the opportunity to take part in events at the academy. These events will include:
- May 2025 – Visits to primary schools to meet our new students
- Wednesday 2nd July – Transition day (Year 6 students will spend the day at Kearsley Academy.
We hope that your child enjoys the transition process and settles in quickly. We thank you for your support during this exciting time. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the academy on [email protected]
